I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in PA. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, having worked with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced a variety of challenges as it relates to mood disorders, emotional abuse, anxiety, depression, work stress, financial stress, ADHD, ODD, LGBTQIA matters, relationship challenges, adjustment to life’s challenges, gender identity, bipolar, etc.
I have a very welcoming and compassionate approach to counseling. My style encompasses the belief that “people can and will change if they use the proper tools.” Another personal view is that “we all would choose a more fulfilling life if we knew how to.” With that said, my goal is to assist you in learning how to be your healthiest self. I will guide you in dissecting the internal processes that have led to unhealthy mental and behavioral patterns.
We work as a team, as I use techniques and approaches to reduce symptoms and increase wellness and health outcomes. I often use theoretical methods: cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, brief strategic therapy, and person-centered, to name a few, and I always practice from a strengths-based perspective. Respect, self-determination, and compassion are always practiced throughout treatment. The road to recovery can seem challenging, but a fulfilling life can be experienced healthier with the will to take the first step in the healing process. You have taken that first step.
I am grateful to work with you along your journey.
